Heli-Centre Australia operate a maintenance base at Caloundra, where a wide range of aircraft are serviced. During your training you will see many aircraft undergoing maintenance or repair. Pilots are frequently required to operate in areas remote from maintenance facilities. A knowledge of your aircraft, routine servicing and maintenance which can be conducted by the pilot is essential to your success as a pilot. Heli-Centre is now an approved Bell helicopter service centre.

During your course you can be attached to a flying school maintenance engineer and be able to assist in the servicing and maintenance of your aircraft. Further experience can also be gained at your option in conjunction with Heli-Centre Australia, where you will be able to work on a number of additional aircraft types. The ability to care for your aircraft and to reduce maintenance costs will give you an advantage over other pilots and make you more competent to operate in the field.
